We are fortunate to have many strong Fine Arts programs at Ruckel, including Art, Band, and Chorus. In addition to these elective classes, there are many other teams, organizations and special activities that add an extra dimension to our educational mission here. Mrs. Bruse teaches our Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced, Honor, Football and Jazz Bands, as well as our 5th Grade Band Enrichment Program. We have one of the most successful middle school band programs in the state of Florida, consistently receiving superior ratings at music performance assessments and sending students to All-County and All-State.

Ms Tredway leads her choruses through training and practice for earning places in All-County and All-State honor choirs, as well as developing exceptional talent in Ruckel's Ambassadors.

Ms. Stalnaker leads this inclusive club in many social and service activities.
Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics.
Sponsored by the PTO and the Cheerleaders, these social events give our students a chance to hang out with their friends, grab some pizza, and dance to the fun tunes!
Members meet weekly after school and participate in district competitions three times per year. Come and see what Speech and Debate is all about. Listen for announcements for details. Mrs. Szklarski is the sponsor.
Each year's staff is selected from sixth and seventh graders at the end of May to begin working on the next year's publication. They meet Tuesdays and Thursdays in Room 210 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm, plus a working lunch on Mondays. Mrs.Love is the sponsor.
