All returning chorus students who auditioned have been sent an email about class placement. All returning chorus students have been placed in a chorus class for next year. Our size remains around 240 musicians. Contact Mrs. Tredway in the Chorus Office after July 16 if you have any questions.
All State Prep Sessions for 7th-8th Grade Chorus Students interested in learning more Music Theory and possibly trying for an All State audition:
Tuesday, July 31 - Thursday, August 2. 1:30 to 3:00 pm.

The Ruckel Ambassadors sang the National Anthem for the Pensacola Wahoos
on Friday, May 4, in the Wahoos Stadium.
Congratulations to all four Ruckel Choirs, each of which sang
at the adjudicated Florida Vocal Association District 1 Music Performance Assessment on Tuesday, March 13, 2018!!
Each Ruckel Chorus received the highest score of ‘Superior’ from every judge.
Each Chorus received the highest score of ‘Superior’ from the Sight-Reading Adjudicator. Straight Superiors for each Ruckel Chorus!!!
Additionally, the Combined 7th-8th Grade Girls Chorus earned an additional “plus”
by being given the coveted ‘Choir of Distinction’ award.
This is the second year in a row that a Ruckel Chorus has earned this prestigious award!
The Choruses were comprised of the following:
*Ambassadors (7th-8th Grade boys and girls), which meets daily as a class.
Straight Superiors from all four adjudicators
Jubilate Deo | In the Time
*6th Grade Combined Beginners ( 6th Grade boys and girls), which meets as separate 3rd and 4th Period Classes.
These classes combined to form one large 101-member chorus by meeting after school on four separate Mondays, for 45 minutes to prepare for MPA.
*Combined 7th-8th Grade Boys Chorus - required for the Ambassador boys; optional for the 14 Tapestry 5th Period boys. Nine Tapestry boys joined the Ambassador boys to form a 33-member Boys Chorus. These boys met before school on five separate Friday mornings, for 35 minutes to prepare for MPA
*Combined 7th-8th Grade Girls Chorus - required for the Chanson 1st Period girls; this was optional for the Ambassador and Tapestry girls. 24 Tapestry/Ambassador girls came to several weeks of before-school rehearsals Monday to Thursday for 30 minutes, joining the Chanson 1st Period girls to prepare for MPA.

These 16 choirs from 13 schools – and their directors – will be recognized at this year's Awards Ceremony at the FVA Summer Conference on Friday, July 27 in Altamonte Springs.|
