The Ruckel Chorus is a daily elective class taught and directed by Michelle Tredway.

Pop Ensemble Rehearsals are each Monday and Wednesday mornings from 7:05 to 7:35 am in the Chorus Room for all students listed on the Chorus Room Door.

The first All State Audition is Saturday, September 15,
at Crestview High School.

The second All State Audition is Tuesday, October 16
at Navarre High School • 4:00 p.m to 8:00 pm

All State Prep Sessions: Monday to Thursday from 2:30 to 3:15 pm in the Chorus
Room for all students selected to audition for one of the All State choirs.

The Ruckel Middle School Choruses Fall Concert
Thursday, November 15 at 6:30 pm
at Rocky Bayou Baptist Church in Niceville

Come and hear 250 voices raised in song.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Donations to defray performance costs will be accepted at the door.

The Ruckel Ambassadors sang the National Anthem for the Pensacola Wahoos
on Friday, May 4, in the Wahoos Stadium.

Congratulations to all four Ruckel Choirs, each of which sang
at the adjudicated Florida Vocal Association District 1 Music Performance Assessment on Tuesday, March 13, 2018!!

Each Ruckel Chorus received the highest score of ‘Superior’ from every judge.

The Combined 7th-8th Grade Girls Chorus earned the ‘Choir of Distinction’ award.
This is the second year in a row that a Ruckel Chorus has earned this prestigious award!

Ambassadors (7th-8th Grade boys and girls) meets daily as a class.

6th Grade Combined Beginners ( 6th Grade boys and girls), which meets as separate
3rd and 4th Period Classes. These classes combine to form one large 101-member chorus by meeting after school to prepare for MPA.

Combined 7th-8th Grade Boys Chorus - required for the Ambassador boys; optional for Tapestry 5th Period boys. These boys meet before school to prepare for MPA.

*Combined 7th-8th Grade Girls Chorus - required for the Chanson 1st Period girls; optional for Ambassador and Tapestry girls.  Tapestry/Ambassador girls rehearse before school, joining the Chanson 1st Period girls to prepare for MPA.

The Florida Vocal Association congratulates the following choirs, which were selected by their district adjudication panels as Middle School Choirs of Distinction! These 16 choirs from 13 schools – and their directors – will be recognized at this year's Awards Ceremony at the FVA Summer Conference on Friday, July 27 in Altamonte Springs.

Welcome Mrs. Sarah Dieterich, our new collaborative pianist/ accompanist
for the 2018-2019 School Year.

We will now see Mrs. Dieterich at the piano for our Fall Concert (November 15), our Music Performance Assessment (March 11), and our Spring Concert (date TBD).

Sarah Dieterich is a true northwest Florida local. She grew up in Fort Walton Beach, and studied with Dr. Julia Sublette through high school. She continued her studies at Florida State University with Leonard Mastrogiacomo and Dr. Victoria McArthur, earning her Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy. She has taught privately in Niceville for the last 13 years. She is active in the local Music Teachers National Association chapter and coordinates the Duo Piano recital for Choctaw Bay Music Club. Sarah is the music director at Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Church. She lives in Niceville with her husband and three children. We are excited for her to join the Ruckel Chorus Family!
