To my Ruckel Chorus Family,
The Choral Classroom demonstrates our best work face-to-face, in community, and in ensemble. Online music lessons will never substitute for the value of the work we do in the Choral Classroom every day. HOWEVER, due to unprecedented, complex times, and realizing we must move into the reality of our immediate future, the Okaloosa Choral Directors met (responsibly! 3 in my home; 5 via Zoom) yesterday to devise temporary units/plans - which follow our State Standards - to supplement and complement the tremendous amount of work YOU ALL have accomplished during this school year!
These choral activities are a low-stress, but meaningful way for me to bridge the gap with you until we can be back together again!
You will be given great (and fun!) opportunities to KEEP SINGING, keep working on your SIGHT-READING, as well as theory, and even AUDITION for next year's Chorus groups!
I am SO THANKFUL for our School District Leadership, along with Mr. Whiddon,
Mr. Smith, and Dr. Small for working tirelessly to make sure YOU are safely taken care of in this unprecedented school year!
I am sure it would be incredible encouragement for them to find snail mail 'Thank You' notes written to them from their Chorus Students!
I miss you more than I can adequately express here. I love my job. I say that all the time, and especially mean that deeply today. I love each and every one of you! I look forward to the time soon when I can say that to everyone in the classroom-
and then SING TOGETHER!!!!!
Look for information from me on Google Classroom
and through CHARMS!
