The Okaloosa County School District will gladly accept your personal checks. They now use a new company to recover returned checks rather than arranging for the repayment of checks returned for non-sufficient funds. Federal Automated Recovery Systems (FARS) will be responsible for the electronic collection of non-sufficient fund checks turned in to any school or District account. When you provide a check as payment, you authorize FARS to either use information from the check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. You also authorize FARS to collect a fee through an electronic fund transfer from your account if your payment is returned unpaid.
Ruckel parents, please be sure to include your full name, street address, and phone numbers on the check. To make record-keeping easier, please fill in the "memo" line on the check with a brief description of its purpose, i.e. "locker, planner, T-shirt."
Thank you for helping us serve you better. If you have questions, please contact the Ruckel Bookkeeper, Felicia Hutchins, at 833-4142.
