Parents & Students - Immunizations Required!

For the health and safety of our children and adults, the State of Florida has very comprehensive immunization requirements.  Students who do not have appropriate documentation of the required immunizations on file with Meigs Middle School when school starts on August 24, 2009, will not be permitted to receive their schedule nor attend classes.  This is a Florida law.  On their first day of attendance, students that have not completed their immunizations will be given a 30 day exemption by the school nurse.  If students have not completed the immunizations by the end of the 30 day period, then these students must be excluded from school by law.

Also, there are new requirements for entering 7th grade students.  Click here for more information.

Click here for all of the 2009-2010 required immunizations from the Florida Health Department.

Parents, if you need information about registration for the 2009-2010 school year, then click here for information, registration forms, and Zoning Waiver information and forms.

Congratulations to Meigs Middle School!  We are again ranked as an A+ school for 2009!  Congratulations to the students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration.  This means that Meigs Middle School has been designated as an A+ school every year since 2002!  Go Wildcats!

Parents please note that the Okaloosa County School District has adopted a new program regarding personal checks.  Schools have been asked to notify parents about the new program regarding unpaid checks.  Please click here for more information from the school district.

Parents can now use the "on-line meal pay system."  Please click here for more information.

Parents, please note that as a result of Paperwork Reduction efforts, individual student progress reports will not be issued.  As you know, because parents routinely check their student's grades via the link provided on this page, the issuance of paper progress reports are often redundant and even untimely.  For instant access to your student's grades, please check the link at the bottom of this page entitled, "Grade book Grades Online."  If you need assistance with this, then please telephone our guidance office at 833-4308.

Parents, please click here for a copy of the district's "Annual Public Notification of Student and Family Rights."

Parents, there is a new vaccine available for a variant of meningitis.  In order to comply with a Florida Department of Education initiative, please see this link regarding this vaccine.

Parents, please see the following link for information on the new district procedures for lunchroom charges.
