2009-2010 School Year Information
Students and parents, we will be posting information here about the 2009-2010 school year. Please check our website regularly for important information concerning the upcoming year.
Please click here for information about 6th Grade Orientation, 7th & 8th grades Open House, Advisory Lists, Lockers, and Transportation.
School Supplies
Parents (and students), we are posting some information from each grade level regarding student supplies for school. We will also deliver copies of these supply lists to local area office/school supply businesses; however, sometimes the lists are not displayed.
We have tried very hard to minimize the amount of supply items needed for school; however, of course, some items are essential. Please click each link for a copy of the 6th grade supply list and the 7th & 8th grade supply list.
Please remember that bookbags and backpacks are not permitted in classrooms for safety and security reasons. Additionally, large cumbersome notebooks (Trappers, etc.) are not permitted. We have two textbooks for students thereby eliminating the need for students to transport these items to classrooms. Students are permitted to keep small bookbag items in their lockers; however, there are space limitations.
Parents & Students - Immunizations Required!
For the health and safety of our children and adults, the State of Florida has very comprehensive immunization requirements. Students who do not have appropriate documentation of the required immunizations on file with Meigs Middle School when school starts on August 24, 2009, will not be permitted to receive their schedule nor attend classes. This is a Florida law.
Also, there are new requirements for entering 7th grade students. Click here for more information.
