You can use scrip to purchase everyday items like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for Longwood Elementary!

BASKET AUCTION
AT THE HOLIDAY CAFÉ
Date: December 2008
PTO Chairperson: Leigh Rice
259-4749

Holiday Café is a festive school-sponsored event that brings together Longwood students, families, teachers and staff for an evening of food and fun!

The PTO sponsors a Silent Basket Auction that becomes anything but silent once the bidding begins! Each class picks a theme and collects items to assemble into a one-of-a-kind, gotta-have-it basket to be bid upon. These baskets are on display during the Holiday Café and anyone can place a silent (written) bid throughout the evening. The highest bid at the end of evening is the winner.

Just a few of last year's basket themes were:

Chocolate Lovers Delight
Warm and Cozy
Fix-It (Tools)
Family Game Night
Pasta Lovers
Mexican Dinner Fiesta
Movies Night

If you would like to participate by donating items, soliciting goods from local merchants or coordinating a basket theme, please contact Leigh Rice.
